Hi everybody!

This week was super great! We had a TON of work to do! I hope Fathers Day was great for all those Dads and those future Dads too!

I especially want to say Happy Fathers Day to my Daddy! Thank you soo much for always being a Dad I could look up to. You were always someone who put aside work just to play with us. And you made sooo many sacrifices to support our family! I know that Every Daddy needs a baby doll and every Baby doll needs a Daddy! lol maybe not a Dad who teaches his baby doll that the Little Red Riding hood pulled out a machete and skinned the bears. But, only because that’s my daddy! And the other baby dolls can’t have him! lol I really hope you enjoyed your day yesterday!

I want to say Happy Fathers Day to ALL of my Grandpas and Uncles! But, especially to my brother Adam! I am so proud of the Dad you have become and the example you set for your daughter! You follow Dads footsteps. And hey, I didn’t turn out too bad, right? lol Keep doing what you all do! I see the happiness that your families bring in your lives! I love you all so much!

Okay, so this week was a tough one! But, we got through it! A lot of our appointments fell through! But, the ones that didn’t were PERFECT! We met 3 new FAMILIES this week. I LOVE teaching families because that is our purpose right? Bring families together for eternity! And that’s exactly what we are doing! Mom, Gisele told me that she added you on Face book and that you have been conversing with her! That is soo great! I love that you are becoming friends! You can get juicy details from her about the mission life! lol And your other friend took a video of me that I later found out that you put of Face book! Great! lol Sorry, I started speaking in Portuguese because it was really hard to speak in English!

Anyways, this week we traveled to Porte Alegre for a MISSION TOUR! We got to hear from Elder Leal and his Wife! They are super great! They gave us sooo much advice about teaching and meeting new people! And literally talked about EVERYTHING that I needed to hear! It was such a spiritual day! I LOVED it! I wish I could have videotaped it and send it to you guys! But, one thing that his wife talked about is Family History! I seriously used to think that it was soo boring! But, seriously it’s not! I could have soo many more baptisms on my mission just by teaching about family history! lol She traced her family history all the way back to Adam and Eve... seriously... she showed us... What a powerful woman! lol I am soo ready to start doing that work when I get home! But, guess who can help me! ALL OF YOU!! I really would like help from you guys to start a lot of the work that Grandma has done! So, when I come home I can start helping! DO THE WORK! It soo worth it!

Well, I don’t have much time! Today really isn’t our pday! Because tomorrow we will be going to the temple!! And I will take a TON of photos! lol I am soo excited! I love each and every one of you!! Never stop learning! Because the learning never stops coming!!

August 4, 2014

We did FHE again and I taught more people how to make cookies!! Before you know it ALL of Brazil will know how to make cookies! haha it was super fun! And of course my companion had to take a picture of me eating!! We are thinking about getting a gym membership here... Its super cheap and its way safer than running on the road!

Anyways, HI everyone!

This week was super great! We had soo much fun with sooo many families! We didn´t have a baptism this week but we have some that are preparing for that super special day! I usually make brownies for that day! lol This week I got to answer the hardest question ever!

We went to the house of that super lovely family I was telling you all about and they told us that their friends were saying some things about the church. Like Baptisms for people that already died.. The funny thing is that I had just been studying about that this morning. And I really wanted to just ignore the question and save the response for another lesson. But, they ended up directly asking if we had something like baptizing people that already died. And I looked at my companion, who is a newbie and looked at me like, "I don’t know the reference for that". So, I told Gizele, our investigator, that we have an ordinance which is really special that only happens in the temple! Thank goodness we already talked about temples with her and Valdir. They both started to shut down when I said that. And I told them my testimony and my companion shared hers. Then we opened up in 1 Corinthians 15. This chapter talks a lot about life after death. There is one verse, I think its 29 that asks why the dead need to be baptized. It talks about resurrection and I bunch of stuff. But, most importantly it talks about the dead needing to be baptized to enter into the kingdom of God. All those who are baptized can enter. So, what about those people that didn’t have a chance to hear the word Christ? Or those people that weren´t invited to be baptized in this life? Christ is fair, right? So, why wouldn´t he give everyone the opportunity? I really didn´t think that I could answer that question directly and look what happened! They ended up loving the idea that they could baptize their family members that didn’t have a chance to be baptized!

Then, on Sunday I got to bare my testimony and Gizele and Valdir were there. I bore my testimony about how I wanted to know EVERYTHING before I served a mission. I wanted to the answers to all the questions. And I remember on day when Dad told me that, that would never happen. It isn’t possible to know everything. But, he told me that I only needed to know one thing, that the Gospel is true. And with that I can testify to every aspect of it. I then talked about when I was little and mom always told me I could go up there to the front and bare my testimony which always started with, “I know this church is true". This Sunday I really began to think about why everyone says that. And how each person got to that point where they KNOW it’s true. Each person said it wasn’t just one moment but it was learning something new each day. People start with that because they really do know that The Gospel is true. How beautiful is that! The next Fast and Testimony meeting listen to each person as they start with that phrase! It truly is beautiful! Thank you daddy for telling me that all I need to know is that The Gospel is true. And thank you mommy for always helping me realize that there wasn’t a moment that I didn´t know if it was true! I love each and every one of you soo soo much! Thank you all for being a part of my life and helping me grow up to be who I am today! Especially you boys! yall are who I look up to! Never forget that there will always be someone looking up to your examples!!

July 28, 2014

Hi everybody!

This week was super great! We taught a ton of new people! But now we are soo exhausted!! Our Sister Leader Trainers did a division with us this week! And guess who is a Sister Leader Trainer! Sister Oliveria! Woo hoo!! So, she went on splits with me! I missed her soo much!! She is soo great! But, my new companion is super great too! We were working with a less active family this week and they are soo great! They have two children that are blind! And they are soo great! They are like 20 years old. Tassi is one that teaches lessons with us! She is super active and only 4 months as a member! The rest of her family is inactive! But, they all LOVE us! And that is super good! This week we are going to do a Family Home Evening with them! One thing that I will always remember about home is FHE! How we always learn together and have fun together! Its sooo great! There is a book here that talks about 3 major things that we can do to strengthen our families! It’s called 3 maneiras simples de tornar sua familia mais feliz! I am almost positive they have this book in English! You all can look on www.mormon.org to see if they have it! But, if you don’t already have one of these in your house, you should definitely get one! It’s super great! Another thing that we have been using a lot this week is "Family: A proclamation to the World" and that little piece of paper is soo great! I love that Mom always has one hanging up in our house! I don’t know if you all have ever really read that thing, but you should! Seriously! It’s so great! Anyways the time is running out! But I want each and every one of you to know how much I love you all! Every single one of you has been a blessing in my life and a HUGE example to me and others! Don´t lose sight of what you know is the path! I love you all soo soo much!
